Akebia Therapeutics, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, focused on delivering innovative therapies to patients with kidney disease.
Legacy Office Solutions was contacted initially to supply offices, workstations, conference areas and seating for the start up of Akebia’s operation. Legacy was able to satisfy the initial requirements of approximately 18 people. As Akebia grew and our relationship was established, Legacy provided midmarket products for the second phase of Akebia’s growth for an additional 17 private offices and 35 AIS Divi workstations, as well as ancillary products.
Our latest project encompasses space for over 100 people. With the Akebia project team, Sierra Architects, Fraser Project Management and Tremont Construction, Legacy Office Solutions presented, designed and delivered innovative furniture solutions as well as fabric and finishes utilizing our library of over 100 lines of products.
The project was delivered in two phases. In order to accommodate their immediate requirement of additional headcount, Legacy supplied loaner workstations, conference, offices and seating. This area facilitated the construction of the first phase of construction which when completed housed 75% of personnel into the new space. During the second phase the loaner product was removed and the second phase completed with the remaining people moved into the new space.
The project was delivered on time and on budget.
